Global Security Week 8-14Sep08 in NewZeland

Global
Security Week is an opportunity to join forces with other security
professionals worldwide and help raise awareness of security issues and
techniques.

The next Global Security Week will take place on:

8th to 14th September 2008

Download free briefings, posters and other security awareness materials on privacy from our freebies page. These were contributed for GSW 2007.

Visit our calendar of security awareness events and activities and contact us to promote your security awareness events.

Read our FAQ for tips on organizing security awareness activities, join the security awareness discussion group or contact us for further information.

Global Security Week (GSW) is a self-funded volunteer effort, not a
commercial or politically motivated venture. We do not accept
advertising but we would appreciate your help in other ways. We are
building a global network of supporters who can help raise awareness
about the GSW initiative and encourage organizations to organize
security awareness activities during the week. To get involved with
GSW, please email GSW headquarters:

info@GlobalSecurityWeek.com

Alternatively, call the GSW office in New Zealand on +64 634 22922 during NZ office hours please. For your information, the local time in the GSW office is:

We welcome your involvement in GSW in various ways:

  • Demonstrate
your support for this campaign and help spread the word by promoting
GSW on your Internet and intranet websites, using the GSW posterrs and other privacy awareness materials
  • Share your own security awareness materials with other GSW participants if you wish.
  • Help
us promote GSW to other parts of the world and other organizations not
already contacted (please let us know who you are contacting).
  • Share your good ideas for security awareness activities with other GSW participants through the FAQ on this website.
  • Tell us about security awareness activities and help us update the calendar.
  • Volunteer to join the small but happy band of GSW helpers.

We
are especially keen to hear from those who are organising or have
previously organised broad-based public or private-sector security
awareness activities. What would you recommend to others who are going
through the same planning process? Are there certain types of awareness
activities that work really well, in your experience, or are there some
you would avoid? Please take a moment to get in touch.
