European Security Awareness Day #2

Following
on from the inaugural European Security Awareness Day which was held in
Brussels last year, this year's event will once again bring together
top-level policy makers and senior executives from service and software
companies to address some of the information security challenges that
technology providers are facing today and look forward at possible
problems in the coming years.

Participants will address
security, safety and privacy issues, and discuss roles that need to be
played by governments, security providers and users. Discussions will
be held on the issue of safeguarding security whilst protecting users
and maintaining the growth of ICT sector. Breakout sessions during the
afternoon will focus on 'Cybercrime', 'Consumer Protection' and
'Privacy & Security' respectively.

European Commissioner for Information Society and Media Viviane Reding will be a keynote speaker. Registration can be performed online at the event website.
