Dear
Colleague,

Please take note of the following call for contributions to
the
workshop Knowledge Oriented Interenterprise
Collaboration

at eChallenges 2008 to take place
in:
Stockholm, Sweden, Oct 22 to 24, 2008, http://www.echallenges.org/
The Preliminary conference programme is
available on the eChallenges portal

Workshop Subject and  Objectives:

Transfer and reuse of codified knowledge has been one of the most
challenging functions of enterprise knowledge management in the past, and it
still is today. In addition, the sourcing of knowledge in and over the Internet
is boosting. Consequently, knowledge use and transfer have become a matter of
interenterprise application rather than staying within the boundaries of
organisations and building upon isolated internal information
repositories.

ICT in support of knowledge oriented collaboration
hence has to deliver functionalities which make use of internal as well as
external data and information, offer features like those emerging in the area of
social computing, and integrate these into services which can easily be used in
interenterprise settings. Modelling, engineering and deployment of such systems
have to meet specific challenges as to employability, operability and
adaptivity.

The workshop is designed to contribute reflection on
how these challenges can be best approached in the future. It aims to bring
forward systemic views upon the generatio, sharing and use of knowledge for
collaboration as a cross-organisational practice.

The workshop
shall initiate and stimulate the sharing of expertise between the fields of
enterprise interoperability and collaborative working. In bringing together
practitioners and researchers it shall set out for multi-disciplinary research
offering significant cross-fertilisation potential. The aim is to establish a
respective research community and develop joint working on the subject of
interenterprise knowledge oriented collaboration.
Workshop contents and
results will be documented and contribute to the Enterprise Interoperability
cluster activities.

Workshop Contents:
-
Interenterprise collaboration throughout ontological orchestration; Rivardo
Goncalves, UNINOVA
- Advancing Adaptability in Interenterprise Collaboration;
